MICROPROCESSOR BASED INFRARED GAS ANALYZER Model ZRF (Single or Dual Component)

DESCRIPTION
The Model ZRF non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) analyzer features high accuracy, multi-functions and ease of operation through the use of a microprocessor. It utilizes a mass flow detector, which is noted for its high sensitivity and reliability for analyzing one or two infrared absorbing components. In addition, the ZRF has a zirconia sensor (ZFK3) for measuring oxygen as the third component or the ability to receive a linearized 0-1 VDC signal from any external analyzer calibrated to 0-25% 02.

METHOD OF OPERATION
The infrared beam emitted from the source passes through a rotating single-point chopper that is cycling at 9 Hz. A distribution cell then splits the energy into two beams that pass through the sample cell and reference cell. The distribution cell may also act as an interference filter if required. The reference cell is filled with a non-absorbing gas and the sample cell contains the infrared absorbing component.
The two infrared beams, one attenuated by the sample and the other not attenuated, simultaneously fall on the unique micro-flow detector which converts the intensity difference into resistance change. The 9 Hz AC signal is amplified then rectified to a linear 1 volt or 4 to 20 mA DC signal output.

EXCLUSIVE ZIRCONIA O2 SENSOR (separate purchase required)

MODEL ZFK3
For O2 correction, the gas analyzer Model ZRF can accept a linearized 0 to 1 VDC signal coming from any analyzer calibrated 0 to 25% O2 full scale. If an analyzer is not available, CAI can supply the Exclusive Zirconia O2 Sensor Model ZFK3.
